*Qualifications vary by account. Account transactions and activities may take one or more days to post and settle to the account and all must do so during the Monthly Qualification Cycle in order to qualify for the account’s rewards. ATM-processed transactions, transfers between accounts, debit and credit card purchases processed by merchants and received by Life Credit Union as ATM or PIN-based, signature based transactions and purchases made with non-Life Credit Union issued debit or credit cards. “Monthly Qualification Cycle” means a period beginning one (1) day prior to the first day of the current statement cycle through one (1) day prior to the close of the current statement cycle. Rewards vary by account. Depending on what Kasasa account you open, you will receive the following rewards when you meet your account’s qualifications during a Monthly Qualification Cycle: Interest on your checking balances (Kasasa Cash) / Cash back on debit card purchases (Kasasa Cash Back) / Reimbursements for iTunes, Amazon.com & Google Play purchases (Kasasa Tunes). When your Kasasa account qualifications are not met, reward distributions are not made. Rewards will be credited to your Kasasa account at the beginning of the next statement cycle. Rates and rewards are variable and may change after account is opened. Overdraft or NSF fees may reduce earnings. When your Credit Union discovers a data breach at retailers like Target or Home Depot, we take action immediately to protect members like you. And, in many cases we can’t even tell you which merchant caused the breach even though we are working to protect your account from the fraud. If you’re like most people, you probably assume that merchants are responsible since their security failures caused the theft of your data. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works.
Credit unions like yours bear the costs of a data breach, even though we (and members like you) had nothing to do with it.
